1. Protein Bar Smoothie
If you’re an avid gym-goer it’s important that you get plenty of protein into your diet. This will help to repair your muscles and aid fat loss. Protein bars such as Fulfil and Quest that are low in sugar are the perfect post-workout snack.
2. Chocolate Chia Pudding
The best thing about this recipe is that it requires only three ingredients and no messy cooking. The main ingredient is chia seeds which are rich in omega-3 and dietary fibre and proven to aid digestive health.
To make the perfect chia seed pudding:
- Melt 6 squares of 85% dark chocolate over low heat. Add 1 cup of almond milk and stir.
- Once the chocolate mixture is cool place in a glass jar, add three tablespoons of chia seeds and mix well.
- Cover with a tight lid, leave in the fridge overnight and enjoy!
3. Nobo Smoothie Bowl
Just when we thought ice cream couldn’t get any better, Nobo created their dairy free frozen goodness. Made with coconuts and avocados, Nobo doesn’t contain any refined sugar and the flavour is truly superb. You can make one of their yummy smoothie bowls in minutes use these ingredients:
- 1 scoop of Nobo Vanilla and Coconut Frozen Goodness
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
Add of the ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth. Top with Homespun Quinoa Crunch.
4. Hazelnut Chocolate Spread
Some healthy chocolate spread on rice cakes topped with banana makes for the perfect evening snack. To make the spread you’ll need the following:
Roast the hazelnuts in the oven for 8-10 minutes. Once cool, add to a blender and grind until they become a hazelnut butter-like consistency. This can take several minutes depending on the power of your blender so be patient! Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
5. Sugar Free Cookies
These delicious three ingredient cookies make for the perfect guilt free tea break treat.
Place teaspoon size dollops of dough on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 175°C for 10 minutes.
