A lot of shop owners ask us how can they make their pages rank highly on Google and other search engines. Doing well in search results is a powerful and easy way to attract new customers.
The good news is that Pointy pages already do very well on Google. We do a lot of work behind the scenes to make that happen! As much as possible we do everything automatically for you, but there’s one secret to getting your page even higher that only you can do. If you put five minutes work into it now, it can pay off with more customers for months and years to come.
Here’s what to do:
1. Link to your Pointy Page
If you have an existing store website or even a personal site or blog, put up a link to your Pointy Page. Google treats a link a bit like a vote – by linking to your Pointy Page you’ll help it come up higher on Google.
2. Use social media
If your store has a social media account (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram), you can link to your Pointy Page from there also. The most effective place to put a link is in your permanent profile information. An ordinary post will help too!
3. Make sure your store has an image and description
A good store description on your Pointy Page will help your page do better. A good image is nice too! You can update your description and photo in the private section of your Pointy Page.
That’s it! Just a few simple changes that can make a big difference to your page.
