Pointy For Square Users

Pointy helps your store to rank highly in local search results. This directs people nearby who are doing Google searches for products that you stock to visit your store, instead of just ordering the product they’re searching for online.

As soon as you install the free Pointy App on your Square POS, we automatically create an online page featuring your store’s products, complete with images and names.

There’s no need to manually enter product names and images or worry about building and optimising your website. We do all the work for you.

Adding Your UPC Barcodes To Your Square POS

Pointy integrates with your Square POS by collecting your product barcode numbers and finding images and descriptions to match each one.  Because of this, for Pointy to work well, your Square inventory needs to have associated barcode numbers. There are three ways to add barcode numbers to your Square POS:

1. Modify Your Products

Step 1:

  • If you already have products on your Square POS but have not added your UPC barcodes simply go to the Item Library in your Items Dashboard and click on the product you’d like to modify.

Step 2:

  • Enter the barcode number into the SKU section using your barcode scanner or by typing the number manually.

 2. Create An Individual Item

Step 1:

  • Go to the items tab in your Square Dashboard.
  • Click on “Create Item”.

Step 2:

  • Enter the barcode number in the ‘SKU’ field by scanning it with your barcode scanner or typing it in.

  • You can add other information such as product name and description but these details will not be used on your Pointy Page. We source all of this information through our databases.

3. Import Items

Step 1:

  • Go to the items tab in your Square Dashboard.
  • Download the Square Bulk Upload Template.

Getting The Most Out Of Pointy

Once you install Pointy on your Square POS you’ll be given access to the private section of your Pointy Page. Here, you can upload an image of your storefront, edit opening hours and contact details and add a link to your e-commerce website if you have one.

You’ll all also have access to various shop statistics such as your most viewed products on Pointy, your number of Google search impressions and the number of visits to your Pointy Page.

Run Highly Targeted Google Ads In Two Clicks

Pointy ProductAds enable your store to automatically create incredibly effective ads on Google for each of your products.

We then target these ads at people who are searching online for these products, driving them to visit your store.

The best part? All you have to do is set the targeting and budget and we do the rest. It’s that simple.
