Consumers research online

People go to their smartphones for answers. In fact, research by Google, estimates that consumers spend in-excess of 15 hours researching on their smartphones a week.

Do these potential consumers know what your store sells? It goes without saying that they know what Amazon sells because Amazon spends a lot of money advertising to them.

How can you, as an independent retailer compete with this behemoth? No need for Alexa here!

Get your products online

Pointy is helping over 5,000 retailers from coast to coast compete online and drive customers in-store.

By connecting a Pointy box to your barcode scanner, your store inventory will appear quickly online and be indexed by Google, meaning your store will show up in local search results.

Local searchers take action!

If a consumer searches for a product online 50% of them visit a local store within a day according to Google. Of these searches, 18% make a purchase. Are you appearing in these searches?

Customers now demand product level visibility. Half of consumers want to see what products your store has and if they are in stock online before visiting according to Management Consultants Accenture.

  1. I sell used vinyl records most of which don’t have bar codes! Are there any other options?

    1. Hi Tim. Thanks for your comment. At this time, I am afraid, Pointy can only work with products which have associated manufacturers barcodes. We do have some record stores in The USA using Pointy.
      For example: https://www.pointy.com/shops/usa/florida/fort-lauderdale/we-got-the-beats-record-store
Their library would mainly be newer titles however!

    1. Hi Robert. Thanks for checking in. There are some merchants on Pointy who sell fireworks. Big Dawg Fireworks in GA would be an example. We suggest that any retailer joining Pointy should use manufacturers barcodes. At times, it can be hard to get good quality images for fireworks. Pointy does have a 90-day money-back guarantee.
