Understanding Your Pointy Shop Statistics

Here at Pointy we think it’s really important that retailers can see how their Pointy Page is doing and make sure that they’re getting the most out of our service. That’s why we’ve created a dashboard which provides you with access to useful statistics that are updated daily.

You can access your dashboard at any time by clicking “View Shop Statistics” from your store’s Pointy Page. Here’s a quick description of each section and some tips on how to make the most out of your shop statistics page:

Summary

This section shows you the number of products you have on Pointy, your Pointy App and Google search impressions and the number of visits to your Pointy Page.

The Google search impressions stat indicates the number of times your Pointy product pages have appeared in Google search results. You can help to increase your impressions by linking your Pointy Page to your Facebook page or website, if you have one.

Pointy App impressions reflect the number of times your store has been displayed via the Pointy App.

Finally, visits to your page refers to the number of times someone has clicked on one of your product pages after doing a search for something you stock. The more products you have on more the more visits you’ll get.

Page & Pointy Box Status

The Page Status section will show if you have added an image and description to your page. A good description with links to your Facebook page and website (if you have one) will help your store to ranker higher in search results.

Pointy Box Status indicates if there are any issues with your Pointy device such as loss of signal. You’ll be asked to contact us for assistance via phone or email.

Most Viewed Products

This section shows you which products on your site have been attracting the most online visitors over the last few weeks. Pay close attention to these products as you might get some useful (and often surprising!) insights into the latest consumer trends here.

How many clicks turn into sales?

Recently Google did some work to answer this question. They found that 50% of consumers who conduct a local search on their smartphone visit a store within a day, and 18% of those searches lead to a purchase within a day. So a lot of the visitors you see on your Pointy page, you should see later in store!
